webhotelier | primalres is rebranding as revplus, marking a new chapter in the technology used by hotels, short-term rentals and property management businesses. Announced on October 8, the name change accompanies a redesign of the group’s products to bring them together within a unified ecosystem.
For professionals handling bookings, rates, availability and payments across several applications, the practical questions are familiar: how well do those tools work together, when is the data available, and how many daily tasks can be automated?
These are the needs revplus aims to address, drawing on its experience serving more than 21,800 properties across 39 countries.
A new revplus booking engine for direct bookings
The first major developments will be unveiled on Sunday, November 22, at an event during the Xenia exhibition. Taking centre stage will be the group’s new revplus booking engine.
According to the company, the booking engine has been redesigned from the ground up to improve conversion, helping more visitors complete a reservation. It features a new user interface, a mobile-first architecture and the ability to book multiple rooms within a single booking flow.
Dynamic content will display relevant information at the appropriate stage of the booking process, while smart rate grouping is designed to make choosing a rate easier. The company says fast loading times will be maintained, with management continuing through the familiar extranet.
For accommodation businesses seeking to grow their direct bookings, the goal is clear: reduce the friction that can cause potential guests to abandon a reservation.
Connected tools and more automation
The event will also introduce the new revplus channel manager, designed to support distribution across sales channels, alongside the group’s latest developments in artificial intelligence tools and applications.
As Panos Kontozamanis, CEO of revplus, explains, the group’s products have historically connected with one another while operating as separate applications. The new approach involves redesigning them around a consistent framework for operation and integration.
“For properties, this means less complexity, faster workflows, data when they need it, more automation, better decisions and more opportunities to increase revenue,” he says.
The announcement sets out the direction of the transition. Further details about the new booking engine, channel manager and AI applications are expected to be presented at Xenia.
What the ecosystem includes for short-term rentals
The revplus portfolio extends beyond its booking engine and channel manager. It includes a cloud-based property management system, an integrated platform for short-term rentals, specialist payment solutions for accommodation businesses and an AI-powered revenue management system.
It also includes a business-to-business marketplace connecting properties with more than 55,000 travel agencies across 160 countries. The core products are supported by 36 add-ons and eight workspace applications, addressing needs such as customer relationship management, loyalty programmes and market intelligence.
The group’s roots date back to 2008, when two companies developed the webhotelier booking engine and the primalres channel manager before joining forces.
According to the figures released by the company, the group now holds a leading position in Greece and Cyprus, serves more than 400 properties in Italy and has an established presence in the Balkans.
Under the new revplus identity, the next step is to bring these technologies into a unified ecosystem. The November presentation will offer the first detailed look at what that means for the professionals using its products.
