Cyprus recorded more than 5.3 million overnight in 2023 through bookings from the 4 online platforms working within the EU.
5.3 million overnight stays
Overnight stays via Airbnb, Booking, Expedia Group/VRBO, and Trip Advisor amounted to 5,355,454, recording high double-digit figures in all four quarters of the year.
According to Eurostat data, Cyprus recorded the following performance in 2023:
** In Q2 there were 1,391,009 overnight stays, which is 27.3% more than in Q2 2022
** In Q3 there were 2,160,460 overnight stays, an increase of 24.4% compared to the corresponding quarter of 2022
** In Q2 2023 there were 1,191,084 overnight stays, 31.5% more than in the final quarter of 2022.
Trends
In the case of Cyprus, the trend towards season extension is evident, with the fourth quarter of the year recording a strong increase.
The same trend is being observed across Europe and in Greece.
