A partnership with strong symbolic significance for the evolution of Greece’s short-term rentals and villas sector is marked by the agreement between Leaderstay and the British tourism giant Jet2, opening a new channel of connection between luxury property management and major international travel chains.
Leaderstay–Jet2 partnership: A new era for villas in Greece
This is a partnership that has no precedent in the market, as for the first time a property management company in Greece enters into a commercial agreement of this scale with an airline and tour operator. Until now, similar agreements with airline brands were primarily limited to hotel chains, making this development indicative of the maturation and institutional upgrading of the luxury vacation rentals sector.
Leaderstay currently manages a portfolio exceeding 300 properties, with a presence in leading Greek destinations such as Crete, Corfu, Zakynthos, Kefalonia, Lefkada, and Rhodes. The company has gradually built an operating model that combines luxury villa management with technological infrastructure and in-house booking systems, aiming to unify distribution and operational performance within a single ecosystem.
On the other side, Jet2 is one of the largest travel organizations in the United Kingdom, with a strong presence in both the airline and package holiday sectors. With millions of passengers annually and an extensive network of bases across the UK, the company is one of the key drivers of inbound tourism to Greece, particularly from the British market, which remains one of the most critical for high-spend Greek tourism.
Jet2 customers gain access to Leaderstay villas in Greece
Within the framework of the partnership, properties managed by Leaderstay gain access to Jet2’s distribution network and customer base, with the aim of boosting demand for luxury villas and premium residences. The British market, according to company data, shows a steadily increasing preference for private, high-quality accommodation, with an emphasis on privacy, experiences, and personalized hospitality.
At the same time, the agreement is expected to strengthen Leaderstay’s booking channels, adding another significant international distribution layer, in addition to existing collaborations with major platforms such as Airbnb, Expedia Group, Tripadvisor, and Vrbo, as well as specialized partners including Solmar Villas, Villa Plus, Villa Select, and Vintage Travel.
Particular emphasis is also placed on the company’s technological capabilities, as Leaderstay has developed proprietary software for property management and booking operations, seeking to automate key processes and optimize returns for property owners. This model, according to the company, allows for greater flexibility in demand management and improved control over occupancy and pricing.

The CEO of the company, Giorgos Tsikandylakis, describes the partnership with Jet2 as a strategically important move resulting from targeted discussions and long-term planning. According to him, the agreement strengthens Leaderstay’s international positioning and creates competitive advantages for partner property owners, while also expanding the company’s access to high-demand markets such as the United Kingdom, which remains a cornerstone of Greek luxury tourism.
At market level, this development is seen as an indication that the short-term rental and luxury villa management sector is entering a new phase of institutional convergence with organized tourism and airlines, creating more direct and structured demand flows toward specific property portfolios.
If the scale and durability of such partnerships are confirmed in practice, the market may gradually witness the emergence of a new distribution model for premium villas in Greece, where major travel platforms, tour operators, and specialized property managers operate in an increasingly interconnected environment, resembling more closely the structure of the hotel industry.
