2024 bookings for Airbnb accommodation in Greece in the summer quarter June – August increased by 17% compared to the corresponding period of 2023.
This is according to AirDNA data and based on bookings made up to May 15th.
However, the average revenue per available accommodation (RevPAR) for the same quarter shows a marginal increase of 1% compared to the summer season of 2023. This year the average daily rate (ADR) reached €253 per night. The rise in supply, however, brings down occupancy rates and puts pressure on RevPAR.

On average in the top 20 European countries, bookings for the summer quarter are up 19% and rates are up 9%.
Last year, stays during the summer months of June, July and August accounted for 37.3% of the total nights of the year. Revenue in this summer quarter, accounted for 40% of the year’s total.
However, AirDNA points out that bookings are in full swing. The second week of August is usually the peak of the season. And this time last year 90 days before the peak, only 46% of the nights for that week were booked. The following month, 60 days before the peak week of August 7-13, 2023, around 75% of stays had been booked while the remaining 25% were booked just 30 days before.
If the booking behaviour follows the same pattern as last year, then more than half of the stays for the second week of August are set to be booked in the next period.
