Amid the rapid evolution of the global short-term rental market and the growing demand for high-quality, professional hospitality, TravelStaytion has secured a new €3 million strategic investment to accelerate its international expansion and establish consistent standards across the industry.
The investment—comprising both equity and bank financing from Greek financial institutions—is led by Metavallon VC, a venture capital firm known for backing innovative tech startups with global potential. It marks a significant milestone for the London-headquartered company, which retains a strong Greek footprint through its founder Jason Anastasinis and a predominantly Greece-based technical team.
Accelerating international growth and tech leadership
TravelStaytion operates exclusively in the luxury segment of short-term rentals, collaborating with certified professional property managers and hosts. With the new funding, the company aims to both expand its international portfolio—which already exceeds 130,000 properties across 700+ destinations in 130 countries—and further develop its tech platform with innovations that strengthen quality assurance and enhance guest experience.
According to Anastasinis, the investment supports the company’s strategic vision of building the world’s largest, most trusted community of professional property managers and hosts, with a focus on premium service and sustainable growth.
“Metavallon VC’s support allows us to amplify our vision and create the largest global collection of short-term rental homes, rooted in technology and strict quality control,” said the company’s founder.
Technology as a pillar of trust
TravelStaytion sets itself apart from competitors through a clear focus on quality and professionalism. The platform exclusively partners with vetted property managers, enabling it to consistently deliver high hospitality standards—an essential factor in gaining travelers’ trust.
George Karantonis, Partner at Metavallon VC, emphasized TravelStaytion’s “solid business model and technological foundation,” and praised the company’s impressive Greek tech team, which plays a pivotal role in developing its digital product.
“In our ongoing collaboration with the company, we’ve witnessed its growing footprint in Greece, where nearly the entire tech team is based, ensuring the product is powered by Greek talent,” Karantonis noted.
An emerging global player with Greek DNA
This latest funding round reinforces TravelStaytion’s ambition to become a leading brand in the premium short-term rental space while spotlighting the potential of Greek startup teams in travel tech. With its tech core anchored in Greece and a steadily growing presence in the local market, TravelStaytion merges international scale with a strong local foundation.
As part of its new strategic direction, the company will focus on enhancing user experience and developing strategic partnerships with industry professionals—from property managers to investors and tourism organizations.
