At this year’s Short Stay Conference 2026, we are creating something unique!
In the central linear area of the conference exhibitors’ hall, 3 outdoor seating scenographies are being set up as live examples for short-term rental accommodations.
The 3 themed outdoor lounges are designed to inspire visitors, highlighting the importance of design in the profitability of short-term rental accommodations, while at the same time serving as a meeting point for participating exhibitors for discussion and networking.
Conference visitors can sit, use them, and observe how color, textures, materials, lighting, and furniture can be combined within a total area of 18 sq.m., integrating the 3 different atmospheres into their short-term rentals.
The themed lounges are 3 different aesthetic proposals, inspired by the natural daily rhythm of how an accommodation is used:
– The Mediterranean Morning Lounge – for the morning, welcoming the day with warm materials and earthy tones, creating a calm space for breakfast, coffee, and relaxed meetings.
– The Tropical Pause Lounge – for midday, offering shade and decompression, with lounge furniture, lush foliage, and filtered lighting, ideal for afternoon rest and informal conversations.
– The Monochrome Evening Lounge – for the afternoon/evening, where the black-and-white palette with pink contrasts, concrete, and low lighting create a social setting for wine, networking, and idea exchange.

The Mediterranean Morning Lounge
The morning experience that extends length of stay!
The Mediterranean Morning Lounge was designed to capture the feeling of calm mornings in a Greek summer accommodation. Warm materials, natural textures, and earthy tones create an environment that supports calm, focus, and relaxed morning meet-ups. The presence of olive and kumquat, combined with clay and beige terracotta shades, compose a setting ideal for breakfast—thereby extending the guest’s length of stay during morning hours, naturally increasing breakfast or coffee consumption.

The Tropical Pause Lounge
The afternoon pause that improves the stay experience!
The Tropical Pause Lounge represents the pause moment within the day—the afternoon when time slows down and the space is called to offer shade, comfort, and decompression to the guest, strengthening their overall stay experience.
Low, comfortable seating with colorful fabrics, together with rich banana foliage, creates a cool and welcoming environment.
It is designed for informal discussions, short breaks, and quiet moments of rest—less need for external activities by guests—highlighting how greenery and shading can transform the outdoor space experience into profit for the business.

The Monochrome Evening Lounge
An evening social core for wine moments!
The Monochrome Evening Lounge marks the transition to evening use of the space through a more social aesthetic. The black-and-white palette, combined with colored terrazzo, creates strong contrasts and clean lines, reinforcing the character of the space as a point of meeting and social interaction.
The bench with planting and the sofa allow different ways of sitting and using the space, supporting wine moments, networking, small events, or simply evening gatherings and conversations in a more intimate environment—making the area function as a natural meeting point. This lounge shows how a palette change can completely redefine the space, enabling the hosting of small events, increasing evening consumption, and turning it into the social core of the evening experience—meaning, a space that sells itself.
In summary…
These three lounge experiences show that the right design is not an aesthetic choice—it is a revenue-growth tool, because it extends how long the space is used throughout the day, improves experience and reviews, and most importantly differentiates the accommodation without structural changes, so it performs all day long.
In the overall setup, the companies Renovatio Concrete Design and Feeelit are participating, presenting materials, furniture, and innovative products in the Hospitality sector, under the unified curation of Evangelia Papadimitriou, Architect & Interior Designer, of the architectural office HOSTCOMPASS.
