Air connectivity with Tel Aviv is entering a recovery phase, as nine international carriers move forward with the gradual restoration of routes to and from Ben Gurion Airport during the week.
Among them, Greece-based Bluebird Airways has already relaunched daily services between Athens and Tel Aviv, while TUS Airways is set to resume its operations shortly.
From midweek, additional international carriers are expected to return with limited frequencies, including Etihad Airways on the Abu Dhabi–Tel Aviv route, alongside Ethiopian Airlines and Smartwings.
At the same time, Hainan Airlines is preparing to reinstate its direct Beijing–Tel Aviv connection, while later in the week services are also expected to resume from Red Wings Airlines, Georgian Airways and FlyOne.
Israeli authorities are also in ongoing discussions with additional carriers to further strengthen connectivity, including flydubai.
The resumption of flights follows the full reopening of Israel’s airspace after recent geopolitical developments. For the travel industry, the gradual return of international carriers marks a key step toward restoring traffic flows and stabilizing demand ahead of the summer season.
