At the same time, it moved into positive adjusted EBITDA of <strong>\u20ac1.7 million<\/strong>, compared with a loss of \u20ac0.6 million in the first half of 2025.<\/p>\n<h2>Pressure on the marketplace, but smaller losses<\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The picture was different for the <strong>HomeToGo Marketplace<\/strong>, the platform that targets travelers directly. Its revenue fell to \u20ac58.8 million, from \u20ac65.5 million a year earlier, as HomeToGo <strong>reduced<\/strong> advertising spending, choosing to place greater emphasis on improving profitability.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The strategy resulted in a <strong>16% reduction in the marketplace\u2019s adjusted EBITDA loss<\/strong>, to \u20ac16.8 million.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">At the end of the half-year, the marketplace\u2019s <strong>booking revenue backlog<\/strong> \u2014 that is, revenue from bookings that have already been made but has not yet been recognized for accounting purposes \u2014 stood at <strong>\u20ac71.9 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">For the group as a whole, the adjusted EBITDA loss was reduced by <strong>26.6%, to \u20ac15.1 million<\/strong>. An even greater change was recorded in <strong>free cash flow<\/strong>, which moved from negative \u20ac5 million in the first half of 2025 into positive territory, reaching <strong>\u20ac48.2 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>HomeToGo Originals and 2026 targets<\/h3>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">During the first half of the year, the company also proceeded with the creation of <strong>HomeToGo Originals<\/strong>, a new umbrella brand under which the property management companies Interhome and Kraushaar are grouped.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">HomeToGo co-founder and CEO <strong>Patrick Andrae<\/strong> highlighted the group\u2019s record IFRS revenue in the half-year, the improvement in profitability and the progress made in integrating the different brands.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the different trends between B2B and the marketplace, HomeToGo kept its <strong>unchanged<\/strong> targets for full-year 2026.
