In 2023, the market generated €830 million in taxes alone, while its total value is estimated at over €5.5 billion, including the broader professional activities that benefit from it.
A panel was also held on the topic:
“The contribution of short-term rental to local economies and entrepreneurship.”
The discussion highlighted:
- The positive impact of short-term rental in supporting local economies, such as catering, small and medium-sized enterprises and retail.
- Its contribution to the real estate sector and the promotion of projects that improve building stock, cities and tourist destinations.
The event was attended by renowned professionals and representatives of organisations such as:
Paschalis Karagiannis, Alternate Member of the Board of Directors Stama, CEO Poseidon Development
Kostas Chaidoutis, Vice President of POMIDA
Athanassios Kouloutbanis, 3rd Vice President of the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce
