With summer reaching its peak and the holiday season already underway, a new European study highlights Greece as a top choice for travelling during pregnancy.
According to an analysis by JoJo Maman Bébé, which evaluated more than 30 popular European destinations based on criteria such as the quality of hotels and restaurants, wellness facilities, beaches, accessibility, attractions and average summer temperatures, Rhodes ranks first as the best destination for pregnant women in Europe, achieving an overall score of 7.18/10.
Rhodes stands out for its high-quality beaches, the wide availability of hotels – more than half of them are four-star or higher category – as well as the many options in restaurants and hotels with spa and wellness facilities. At the same time, the average summer temperature of 26°C is considered ideal for comfortable holidays during pregnancy.

Three Greek destinations in the European Top 10
Naxos ranks second, standing out for its high percentage of quality accommodation, excellent beaches and mild summer temperatures, while Gozo in Malta completes the top three.
The overall presence of Greece in the ranking is particularly impressive, as three Greek destinations are included in the European Top 10. In addition to Rhodes and Naxos, Corfu ranks 7th, confirming the country’s strength as a safe and welcoming destination for expectant mothers.
The study highlights that pregnant travellers place particular importance on the quality of infrastructure, easy access to services, comfortable accommodation and mild climate conditions. In all these criteria, Greek island destinations appear to excel, further strengthening their tourism profile in the European market.
